On 10/13/12 at approximately 2110 hours Officer Meyer and Gourley made a traffic stop on DC tag BP3654 for driver failure to use turn signal before making right turn. When officers approached the vehicle they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the passenger area of the vehicle. The driver and the passenger were arrested and both were searched incident to arrest. The passenger who was identified as Micheley Maddox was found to be carrying a handgun in the waistband of his pants and marijuana concealed in his underwear. Maddox was transported to Central Booking for processing.
