City Displays 9-11 Commemorative Flag
Frederick, MD -- A commemorative 9/11 flag donated by the Daughters of the American Revolution in 2011 to The City of Frederick will be flown in front of City Hall from Monday, September 10th through Friday, September 14th.
Mayor Randy McClement said, “This flag will be flown during the week of September 11th as a continuing reminder of the victims and heroes of 9-11 and of the perseverance, resilience and resolve of the American people. The City of Frederick will ‘Never Forget’.”
This special flag depicts the twin towers, pentagon and a cracked Liberty Bell, which are references to sites where many people lost their lives in attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001.
