The City of Frederick Seeks to Fill Vacancy on Labor Relations Panel

Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick is currently seeking applicants interested in filling a position on the Labor Relations Panel. Interested individuals should submit a recent resume and letter of interest to Donna Folden, Acting Commission Coordinator, 101 North Court Street, Frederick, MD 21701 or dfolden@cityoffrederick.com by August 31, 2012.
The member must be a registered voter and must be either a resident of Frederick City, own property in the City, or operate a business or have his or her primary employment with a business located in the City. The member will be appointed to a term of two years.
The Labor Relations Panel is charged with conducting hearings on any grievance filed by a sworn officer of the Frederick Police Department, in accordance with the Frederick City Code and the applicable contracts between The City of Frederick and the Fraternal Order of Police. At the conclusion of any such hearing, the Labor Relations Panel is required to issue written findings of fact and an order, in compliance with certain regulations, policies, and contractual provisions.
