Two subjects injured in fight on N. Market Street
On 08-04-12 at approximately 0200 hrs. officers of the Frederick Police Department Patrol Division responded to a fight in progress call at 210 N. Market Street. Initial responding officers found multiple subjects actively engaged in a fist fight. One subject appeared to have a wound to his head and was lying on the sidewalk. Two other subjects were initially detained. One of the detainees who was not injured was identified and later released from the scene. The other detainee who was bleeding from the nostrils was ultimately found to have suffered a stab wound to his upper torso. That individual was flown to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma in Baltimore via MSP Helicopter. The subject with the head injury was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital where he was also found to have suffered a minor stab wound to his upper torso in addition to the head injury. Neither victim appears to have life threatening injuries at this time and both are currently being treated at the respective hospital centers.
