This community initiative invites City residents to participate in an environmentally responsible effort to declutter their homes while contributing to a sustainable future.

The Freecycle Roundup will take place at the Public Works complex located at 111 Airport Drive East, Frederick, MD 21701. This event aims to offer a convenient, cost-free method for City residents to dispose of bulk items they no longer wish to keep, with the added benefit of reducing the burden on the Frederick County landfill.

  • Appliances
  • Bicycles
  • Large Toys/Swingsets
  • Mattress/Box Springs (limit of 3 per household)
  • Mowers, weed eaters, trimmers (fluids removed)
  • Grills (no tanks)

All items must be less than 7 feet in length

In addition to these drop-off opportunities, local charitable organizations will be present to accept items such as:

  • Books, CDs, DVDs, VHS, and more
  • Furniture
  • Electronics and Computer equipment; TVs
  • Plastics
