Charter Review Committee to begin considerations of election changes

The City of Frederick’s Charter Review Committee will begin discussions for recommended changes to Elections and election administration in The City of Frederick on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 1 p.m. in the City Hall Boardroom.

Thursday’s discussion will focus on the consideration of a ranked-choice voting system in The City of Frederick. 

Additional election discussions will take place in coming months and will include topics such as but not limited to non-partisan elections, changing election cycles and altering voter eligibility. 

Residents can participate by joining in-person at City Hall, viewing on Channel 99 or watching online at Residents can also share feedback via the e-comment feature at or on the public feedback form at, where they can also learn about future topics to be discussed.
