The Frederick Police Department is proud to release the 2022 Community Policing Report. The posting of this information is focused on our continuing efforts to build trust and legitimacy with those that we serve, and are modeled after the recommendations in the President's 21st Century Policing Initiative.
Community Policing standards and expectations create the foundation of FPD's philosophy. The report showcases specific examples of how our agency has implemented consistent communication, partnership and teamwork with the community. These initiatives include our Crisis Car co-responder program, our Multi-Cultural Liaison Unit, School Resource Officer services and our partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County. FPD also hosts and participates in formal outreach events year round, such as Coffee with a Cop, Special Olympics events, National Night Out and the Chief's Community Advisory Board.
Through our collaboration with community partners, FPD is ahead of the curve when it comes to strategically implementing our community policing efforts. We aim to continue our outreach and continue to build trust and transparency with our residents and community.
