At approximately 8:45 a.m. on Friday, March 25, the Frederick Police Department received a 911 call in the area of 1100 Block of Providence Court. Patrol officers located an adult female who had been stabbed in the torso. She was transported to an area trauma center for treatment where she is now in stable condition.
Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit responded as well and assumed the investigation. Through evidence and information obtained, the suspect was identified as, Osmen Eliseo Lopez Torres (DOB 1/12/2003). Detectives determined Lopez Torres and the victim knew each other and this was not a random incident. Lopez Torres was charged with 1st-degree assault and associated charges and there is an active arrest warrant for him as a result of this investigation.
