The Frederick Police Department will be conducting street closures to assist the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office with funeral procession services for Deputy First Class Kenny Olander on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
The services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church followed by internment at St. John Cemetery. Prior to the services and throughout the internment, the following roads will experience closures:
- E 2nd Street closed to all traffic at N. East St to Maxwell Alley
- Chapel Alley closed at Church St to E. 3rd St
- Austin Alley closed from N. Easty St to Chapel Alley
- E 3rd St closed At Maxwell Alley to N. East St
Drivers should avoid these areas if possible, and expect delays through the nearby streets where traffic is being diverted.
Additionally, there will be no parking from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in the 200 Block of East 3rd St. and the 200 Block of E. 4th St.
