The City of Frederick continues to see positive metrics in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. On Friday, the CDC downgraded Frederick County downgraded to "low community transmission" status. As a result, the City of Frederick has announced the following operational changes.
- Masks or face coverings are no longer required to be worn by employees unless they are in COVID-19 isolation or quarantine protocol.
- Employees in isolation or quarantine protocol will still be required to wear a KN95 respirator around others and it is recommended to physically distance from others when possible.
- Members of the public are no longer required to wear masks in City facilities.
- The City will double the occupancy allowed for Mayor and Board Public Hearings and Workshops to 50 residents. The City will continue to utilize the online sign up sheet to manage attendance.
All other Boards and commissions are scheduled to be back in person April 1.
