The Frederick Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit has identified and arrested a juvenile male in the Dec. 20, 2021 early morning shooting that left one man injured.
On Dec. 20, 2021, around 2:30 a.m., officers from the Frederick Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to S. Pendleton Court for a reported shooting. Arriving officers located an adult victim with a gunshot wound. This person was transported to an area trauma center for treatment and is in stable condition.
Through evidence and information obtained, the suspect was positively identified as a 16-year-old male. The victim was known to the juvenile suspect and this is believed to be an isolated incident. The suspect was arrested on Dec. 21, 2021 and is being charged as an adult in this case.
Detectives believe there may have been additional witnesses in the area of Pendleton Court when the shooting occurred and are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Det.
