Primary Election Day is Tomorrow + How to View Results

Tuesday, September 14, 2021 is Primary Election Day in The City of Frederick. There is still time to vote by mail, by dropbox on in person: 

VOTING

For those who wish to vote in person: 

To vote in person, all in-person voting will be conducted at the Trinity School Voting Center at 6040 New Design Road from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Note: You do not need to bring your mailed ballot with you. 

For those who wish to vote via dropbox:

To vote by ballot dropbox, complete and drop off your mailed ballot at one of the seven dropbox locations by Tuesday, 9/14/21 at 8PM. The secure locations include the Trinity School Voting Center, the Frederick County Board of Elections Office, the Talley Recreation Center, Hillcrest Commons, the Housing Authority Office, Frederick Community College, and Governor Thomas Johnson High School. A map of these locations, with directions, is available at cityoffrederickmd.gov/2021election.  Note: dropboxes will be monitored. 

For those who wish to vote via mail:

To vote by mail, return the ballot with the provided postage, ensure that you have followed the instructions accompanying the ballot, and mail it back with a postmark of Tuesday, 9/14/2021 (or before). Your ballot must be received before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, 9/17/21. 

WHERE TO VIEW RESULTS

The City of Frederick will post and announce results as they are received by the Frederick County Board of Elections. Based on the schedule provided by the Frederick County Board of Elections, the City will post results on the following schedule on the election website (cityoffrederickmd.gov/2021election), on the City's social media channels, and on CH 99 (TV and Online):

  • Tuesday, 9/14 Evening: Results of In-Person Early Voting and Day-Of Voting will be posted
  • Thursday, 9/16 Evening: Results of Mail-In and Dropbox ballots will be posted (Day 1 of Canvassing) | Canvassing will be streamed on CH 99 and the City's YouTube Channel.
  • Friday, 9/17 Evening: Results of Mail-In and Dropbox ballots will be posted (Day 2 of Canvassing | Canvassing will be streamed on CH 99 and the City's YouTube Channel.
    • If needed, vote canvassing for Mail-In and Dropbox ballots will continue on Sat, 9/18 and Mon, 9/20. 
  • The election will be certified at 9 AM on Tuesday, 9/21. This event will be streamed on CH 99 and the City's YouTube Channel
