OVERVIEW OF PUBLIC MEETING DECISIONS – July 15, 2021
At the July 15, 2021, Mayor and Board of Aldermen Public Meeting, the Board approved the following items:
- Approval of Work Order 21-102 with 330 Partners, LLC regarding a feasibility and development study of a new health center on the West End of Frederick. As the Department of Housing and Human Services begins exploring the feasibility of a second health center on the West End of Frederick, 330 Partners, LLC is well-positioned to conduct the feasibility and development study due to their experience with HHS and the current health center. Funding for this project will come from HRSA and CDBG grant funding.
- Approval of an Ordinance concerning school zone designations. This ordinance addresses and updates the location of speed monitoring systems in school zones throughout the City. The need for an additional zone has been identified on Christopher’s Crossing, which falls within the required half-mile radius of St. John’s Catholic School. The ordinance adds this location to the list of designated school zones, while removing locations near Trinity School and Visitation Academy, where schools are no longer in operation.
