At the April 1, 2021 Mayor and Board of Aldermen Public Meeting, the Board approved the following items:
• A memorandum of understanding with Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) concerning a School Resource Officer grant. FCPS has received a grant through the Maryland Center for School Safety for a mapping project. The grant will reimburse FPD for mapping schools within their assigned primary jurisdiction.
• A contract with United Electric Supply in the amount of $188,285 for purchase of a motor control center. In preparing to implement planned repairs to the existing motor control center, staff identified safety issues that prompted a reconsideration of the repair plan, determining replacement of the existing motor control center is needed at this time.
• Second amendment to Land Lease Agreement with GTP Towers II, LLC date July 24, 2013. This item amends an existing lease agreement for ground space at 9450 Gambill Park Road, extending the total length of the lease by adding two additional renewal terms.
• An agreement with Bolton Partners for Benefits Consulting and Administration Services. The City has an existing agreement with Bolton Partners for benefits consulting and administration. Continuing this relationship is advantageous to the City as this is a long-standing relationship with a firm that is familiar with the City’s benefit plans. This agreement allows the City to piggy-back on Frederick County’s agreement with Bolton Partners.
