On 06/23/12 at approximately 1304 hours Officer Keyser responded to Kmart for a theft in progress. The suspect was observed by loss prevention placing numerous items in a purse. The suspect left the store without paying for the items and was apprehended outside by loss prevention and the police. Over $200 of stolen merchandise was recovered from the purse. The suspect was arrested and transported to Central Booking for processing.
