On Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 at approximately 1:30 p.m., FPD responded to the 1000 block of W. Patrick Street for a report of a stabbing that had just occurred. Upon arrival, Officers found a juvenile male suffering from multiple stab wounds to his back. According to the victim he was approached by a Black male wearing dark clothing. The suspect stabbed him and left the area on foot, running toward W. Patrick St.
The victim was transported to a local trauma center and is receiving care for his wounds. He is in serious but stable condition, and expected to survive at this time. The Frederick Police Department is aware of anther stabbing on the West side of town on Feb. 6 and is looking into the similarities and differences in the cases. At this time there is not concrete evidence to link the cases together.
