Emergency Power Outage Notice from First Energy: Downtown Frederick at 8PM

Update: Power was restored at 9:30PM. 

The City received the following notice from First Energy regarding an emergency power outage: 

There will be a power outage at approximately 8PM to replace a bad transformer in a manhole. The circuit needs to be de-energized. It will affect 70-75 customers including portions of East Church St, East 2nd, and Market Street. Estimated length of outage: 60-90 minutes. 

More information will be shared as received from First Energy. Those parked in the Church Street Parking Garage will be able to exit if needed.
