Snow Emergency Remains in Effect; Delayed Opening of City Facilities 2/1

Due to the expected impacts of Winter Storm Orlena, operations at The City of Frederick will be adjusted for Monday, February 1, 2021. The Snow Emergency Plan remains in effect.

  • City offices/facilities (including Talley Rec Fitness Center) and non-essential operations will open at 10 AM tomorrow, Monday, February 1, 2021 (with liberal leave in effect for employees). After re-evaluation at 8AM, the 10AM opening stands.
  • Trash pick-up for Monday will remain as scheduled. Please do not put your collection bin directly in street but as close as possible.
  • Parking along snow emergency routes remains prohibited. Cars that remain on the routes are being towed at the owner’s expense. To support parking options, street maintenance/sweeping schedules are suspended through Monday, February 1, 2021, and affiliated parking restrictions will not be enforced during this period. Downtown parking garages are free through Tuesday, February 2nd at 8 AM.
