Frederick Community Action Agency Acting Director Appointed

Janet Jones, FCAA’s Assistant Director of Medical Services, will serve as Acting Director.

On behalf of the City of Frederick, Mayor Michael O’Connor is pleased to announce Janet Jones as the Acting Director of the Frederick Community Action Agency (FCAA).

Janet began her tenure with the FCAA as a Clinic Outreach Worker in 1995, working her way to her most recent role as the Assistant Director of Medical Services. The FCAA’s new Acting Director obtained her Master of Health Administration from Mount St. Mary’s University, Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Towson State University, and an Associate degree in Criminal Justice from Frederick Community College. Beyond her notable educational accomplishments, Janet’s community involvement has included serving as a Board Member on the Frederick County Healthcare Coalition, as well as being an active member of numerous other coalitions and committees. She enjoys an active lifestyle with her two sons and husband; and is a staunch supporter, volunteer, and coach with her local American Youth Soccer Organization.

Mayor O’Connor is committed to a smooth transition for City residents and FCAA staff, and the FCAA’s continued and future success. He is thankful for Janet’s commitment to FCAA and knows the City will benefit from her invaluable experience with our community as we look for a permanent Director. More details and opportunities for public engagement regarding the permanent Director search will be announced in the coming weeks.
