[ARCHIVED] Arrest Made In Shots Fired Incident

On 05/29/2012 at approximately 10:20 PM Frederick Police Department Officers responded to a complaint of a suspect discharging a firearm in the 300 block of E Third Street, Frederick MD.

Officers arrived on scene and determined that a bullet had struck a window and entered a house in the 300 block of E Third Street. Detective Lapp quickly developed Ryan Watts as a suspect in the shooting. On 05/30/2012 at approximately 1:23 AM Watts was located at his residence in the 200 block of Dill Avenue Frederick MD. A loaded handgun, police believe was used during the shooting, was recovered from the residence. Watts was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking and is awaiting an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

The investigation revealed that Watts and the occupants of the residence were known to each other. It was also determined that Watts was at a gathering at the residence earlier in the evening.
