Frederick, MD – A planned power outage schedule by Potomac Edison will take place on November 27th and November 28th as part of their fuse canister replacement project in the downtown area. The outage is scheduled to begin at 11:00 PM on Sunday, November 27th and continuing to approximately 8:00 AM on Monday, November 28th weather permitting.

Potomac Edison worked closely with The City of Frederick to schedule a time that would have the least impact on downtown businesses, traffic signals and parking decks.

Potomac Edison will notify all affected customers by way of a door hanger notification. The outage will affect customers on portions of:

• South Market Street
• West South Street
• West All Saints Street

Frederick City Police and Emergency Services are aware of the scheduled power outages and will coordinate logistics accordingly.

This major infrastructure project is scheduled to be completed before the end of the year.
