Cops on Rooftops Raise $3,489 for Special Olympics Maryland
FREDERICK, MD –Members of the Frederick Police Department and Special Olympics Maryland participated in the Cops On Rooftops event on October 19th & 20th at the Dunkin Donuts on Rt. 40. Over the course of the two-day event, $3,489 was raised to support Special Olympics Maryland. In 2017, the Department raised $3,300 for the Cops On Rooftops event.
Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD) is a year-round sports organization dedicated to providing quality sports training and competition opportunities to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or closely related developmental disabilities. SOMD currently provides thousands of sports experiences annually for athletes statewide and offers 24 sports, all at no cost to the athletes or their families.
