Frederick Police to Honor Richard “Mark” Bremer
Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremony

FREDERICK, MD – Please join the Frederick Police Department for the Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremony for Officer Richard “Mark” Bremer. The ceremony will take place on Friday, October 26th at 3 pm in the field adjacent to 519 East South Street, Frederick, MD. There is parking along the street as well in the Southern States parking lot across the street.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Officer Bremer's line-of-duty death. Officer Bremer was killed on October 23, 2008, in an automobile collision while pursuing a suspected drunk driver on East South Street who refused to stop.
Officer Bremer had served with the Frederick Police Department for five years and was a graduate of the 46th Academy Class. During his time on the department he served on Patrol Division C. Prior to joining the Frederick Police Department, Mark was a Corrections Officer with the Division of Corrections in Hagerstown and then later employed with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office as a Case Intake Manager.
