Join Us For National Night Out
Tuesday, August 7th from 6-9 pm
FREDERICK, MD – Join the Frederick Police Department and the community in celebrating National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, August 7th from 6-9 pm. This year’s NNO celebrations will be held at:
Carrollton Park – 455 Center Street
Hill Street Park – 100 Hill Street
Lucas Village Community – 155 Pennsylvania Avenue
Mullinix Park – 16 South Bentz Street
There will be activities, demonstrations, static displays, children’s activities, and food at all four locations. The Department will also have a sign-language interpreter at Carrollton Park. All of the events are free and open to the public.
“National Night Out is an opportunity that allows our officers to interact and get to know our community members in a fun and relaxing environment. This event promotes a sense of neighborhood spirit that focuses on crime prevention awareness and making our city a better place to live, work and play,” commented Chief Ed Hargis. “We encourage all our residents to come out and visit one of our four National Night Out locations in the city.”
Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.
