Frederick Police make arrest for sex
offense
FREDERICK,
MD – On 07/26/18 at approximately 1026 hours, members of the Frederick Police
Department were working with the community in the area of Hope Circle and Pennsylvania
Avenue. At that time, OFC. Milyard was
approached by a community member and was informed that she believed her granddaughter,
15YO/F, had been contacted by a 24YO/M and they had intercourse.
Detectives
quickly responded to the scene and were able to collect evidence supporting the
Grandmother’s claims. After interviewing
the victim it was determined the Detectives would attempt to get the suspect to
return to the address where the prior offense occurred.
At
approximately 2145 hours, Detectives were able to take the suspect into custody
without incident as he returned to the location of the prior offense. The suspect was identified as Jose Domingo Ayala-Portillo
(8/14/94), pictured below. Mr.
Ayala-Portillo was charged with one count of 3rd degree sex offense
and additional charges are pending after review by the State’s Attorney Office.
