First On Scene Training
FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick Police Department has partnered with the Frederick County Division of Fire & Rescue to provide training on “first-on-scene” care and how to help victims who have sustained a trauma.
No matter how rapid the arrival of emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene. And even with little or no medical training, bystanders can become lifesavers. Knowing what to do and being able to provide first care in an emergency can save someone’s life. Severe injuries can result from everyday accidents to natural and manmade disasters
Learn what you can do to help!
During this 4-hour training, you will learn about CPR, First Aid for bleeding injuries, and civic responses to active shooting events. Please note this is not a certification class – this is for ages 18 & up.
Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Registration information can be found at http://cityoffrederick.com/DocumentCenter/View/10124
