[ARCHIVED] Frederick Police Arrest Man and Woman on Numerous Drug Charges

Staub

The Frederick Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Street Crimes Unit arrest Frederick area man and woman on numerous drug charges…

During the month of October 2017, members of the Frederick Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit received information in regards to Brenda Staub being actively involved in distributing controlled dangerous substances, including heroin to Frederick City and Frederick County residents.  This information was obtained from numerous sources to include several individuals who had overdosed from heroin that stated they had purchased heroin from Staub.

On February 16, 2018, Detectives were able to verify that Staub was travelling to Baltimore and would be bringing back a large amount of CDS.  Detectives conducted surveillance of Staub over the course of the day and later conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 1400 block of Key Parkway.

A K9 sniff of the vehicle was conducted resulting in a positive alert for the presence of narcotics.  A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of over 117 grams of cocaine with a wholesale value of approximately $6,000 and when packaged for street level distribution a value between $10,000 to $15,000.  Also located in the vehicle was almost 60 grams of heroin worth approximately $10,000 and .6 grams of crack cocaine.

Staub and Boone were placed under arrest and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.

The Frederick Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit is aggressively targeting drug dealers who knowingly sell Opioids including heroin and fentanyl to users.
