FREDERICK POLICE CHARGE IN CARJACKING INCIDENT
FREDERICK, MD – On January 11th at approximately 5:32 pm the Frederick Police Department received a call for a vehicle theft in the area of East Patrick Street and Water Street. The Victim was driving in the area of Water Street and East South Street when a female climbed into her vehicle through the open passenger side window. The suspect asked the victim to drive her to Baltimore in which the victim declined. The victim drove to the 300 block of East Patrick Street, where she exited the vehicle. The suspect then climbed into the driver seat and proceeded to drive off in the vehicle.
After the vehicle was taken from Frederick, the suspect was involved in a multiple vehicle crash on Rt. 695 near I-83 in Baltimore County. The suspect, Deirdre D. Dean of no fixed address, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
