On 12/21/2017 at approximately 0100 hours, Frederick Police Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 100 block of Fairfield Drive. Officers arrived on scene and located victim suffering from a stab wound to his arm and neck area. The victim was later transported to area hospital for treatment and later released.
Detective Schultz arrived on scene and assigned as the lead investigator in this case. Through the subsequent investigation, Detective Schultz was able to identify the suspect in this case to be Michael Devine. The investigation revealed Devine who resides with the victim, without provocation picked up an edged weapon and stabbed the victim to the area of the neck and arm. Again, the suspect and victim are known to one another.
The suspect remained on scene when officers arrived and taken into custody without incident. Suspect transported to Criminal Investigation Section to be interviewed. The suspect was then taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and charged with the below listed offenses.
