The criminal Investigations Division arrested an adult male for theft of a motor vehicle that occurred on February 16th, 2012
The Frederick City Police Department arrested Mr. Nehemiah Abdul Williams for the theft of a motor vehicle that originally occurred on February 16, 2012. Mr. Williams was taken into custody on 04-06-2012 without incident and transported to central Booking for processing.
On February 16, 2012 police officers responded to 406 Rockwell Terrace for a report of a vehicle theft. The vehicle was described as a 2009 Lexus RX350 SUV stolen from a locked garage. On 02/26/2012 Officer Myer while conducting routine patrol located the vehicle and attempted to pull the vehicle over. After a vehicle pursuit the driver jumped out and fled on foot in the area of South Street and DeGrange Street. A search of the area was met with negative results. After processing the recovered stolen auto and recovering evidence, the vehicle was returned back to the owner.
Det. Marker, of the Criminal Investigations Division was able to determine, from evidence recovered inside the vehicle, that Mr. Williams was the individual who had fled from the police during the vehicle pursuit. Mr. Williams was charged with Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and a number of traffic citations.
