On 04/03/2012, the Frederick Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) made a methamphetamine arrest after a 2 month long investigation.
During February of this year the DEU began an investigation involving Gregory Tinsman of Brunswick. During the investigation officers learned that Tinsman was manufacturing and selling methamphetamine in the Brunswick and Frederick areas. Officers conducted three undercover operations resulting in the purchase of methamphetamine from Tinsman. On April 2rd officers were made aware by Tinsman that he was attempting to manufacture methamphetamine in the Frederick area. At that time officers conducted an operation that led to the 900 block of W Patrick Street where Tinsman was arrested prior to him manufacturing methamphetamine. The general public was not at risk at anytime during the operation to the exposure of materials involved with the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Tinsman was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center to appear before a District Court Commissioner.
