On 12-14-2016, at approximately 10:25pm, officers of the Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit observed a suspicious person in the 1300 block of Taney Avenue, in Frederick City.
During the investigation, the officers made contact with the subject, who they recognized as Antonio Anthony Davis. Davis appeared unresponsive to the officers’ conversation and could only mumble words. His eyes were very watery and he was unable to comprehend simple questions. In addition, the officers detected the odor of PCP emanating from Davis’ person. As a result, Davis was placed under arrest. Search incident to arrest revealed a half filled vile of PCP in his front jacket pocket. The vile was half full but determined to be more than personal use.
Davis’ was taken to the hospital due to his condition. While at the hospital Davis attempted to remove two small baggies of suspected heroin from his person and discard them. However, officers observed this and collected the suspected heroin. The total weight of the heroin was later determined to be two grams. This amount is considered more than personal use.
Once Davis was cleared at the hospital he was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
