VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE NEARS
Frederick County residents who wish to register to vote in the April 26, 2016 Presidential Primary Election are reminded that the deadline for voter registration is 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016. The same deadline applies to voters who are already registered and wish to make changes to their name, address, or party affiliation before the Primary Election.
In order to become a registered voter and vote in this year’s election, individuals must be a U.S. citizen, live in Frederick County, and be at least 18 years of age on or before November 8, 2016.
Voter registration applications may be obtained by calling the Board of Elections until Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Applications are also available in county libraries, the Motor Vehicle Administration, Frederick Community College, the County Courthouse, and all U.S. Post Offices.
Individuals may also register at the Board of Elections, The Bourne Building, 355 Montevue Lane, Suite 101, Frederick, on the following dates: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and Tuesday, April 5, from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
