On March 6, 2012 the Frederick Police Department made a drug arrest after a traffic stop.
On March 7, 2012 at approximately 2350 hours Officer Clark of the Frederick Police Department was on routine patrol in the area of West College Terrace and West Patrick Street. Officer Clark stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation and contacted the driver. Based upon the driver’s actions Officer Clark summoned for a police K9. Officer Conover and his K9 partner Dak responded and conducted a K9 sniff of the vehicle. The K9 alerted to the presence of controlled dangerous substances inside the vehicle. After the positive alert the driver, later identified as Huskey, William Ray (B/M/7-5-1974), informed Officer Clark that there was cocaine in a container by the center console. Inside the container was a quantity of suspected cocaine that was substantial enough to indicate intent to distribute. Huskey was placed under arrest and transported to central booking for processing. Below is the arrestee’s information and charges:
