[ARCHIVED] Frederick Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Theft Suspect (SCT)

The Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a theft suspect

On 03-30-2015, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the Planet Fitness gym, located at 1080 W Patrick Street, in reference to a theft.

During the investigation, it was found the victim left her purse in her vehicle while using the gym facility. Upon returning to her vehicle, the victim found the rear passenger’s side window was broken and her purse was stolen. As the investigation continued, it was found the suspect used the victim’s credit card at a local Sheetz convenient store within hours of the theft occurring.

Photographs and video surveillance of the suspect were obtained, showing the suspect entered the store and purchased items at the counter using the victim’s credit card. Photographs of the suspect are attached to this release.

The suspect is described as below:

- White male
- Approximately 20 to 30 years of age
- Short brown or black hair
- Little or no facial hair
- Thin to medium build
- Blue jeans
- Dark colored hooded sweatshirt or jacket
