On today's date, members of the Frederick Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery.
On 02/25/2012 at approximately 0006 hours, members of the Frederick Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery at Charlies Carryout located at 703 Motter Ave. Upon their arrival, officers learned that a white male wearing a blue jacket with gray hooded shirt underneath and dark colored pants, with most of his face covered, entered the restaurant, approached the clerk at the register and produced a note demanding money. The suspect then displayed a handgun at which point, the clerk fled to the rear of the restaurant. The suspect then circled the counter and tried to open the register himself. He failed and fled the restaurant empty handed. The follow up investigation is being conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division.
