Frederick County upgraded the Alert Frederick County notification system effective today, May 6th. The county launched the Alert Frederick County system in 2010 and this upgrade will bring increased functionality to the Alert Frederick County system.

Instructions for Current “Alert Frederick County” Customers to Implement Upgrade
Frederick, MD – May 6, 2015 Frederick County upgraded the Alert Frederick County notification system effective today, May 6th. The county launched the Alert Frederick County system in 2010 and this upgrade will bring increased functionality to the Alert Frederick County system.
After May 6th, current Alert Frederick County customers should go to the website Alert@FrederickCountyMD.gov and follow the instructions for existing users to login and verify their information. You will also receive an alert from Alert Frederick County instructing you to login and verify information.
Residents that have not already signed up are encouraged to register for alerts at: www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/alert.
The Alert Frederick County notification system allows government officials to send emergency messages directly to residents via telephone, e-mail, text message and more. In addition to emergency alerts, residents can chose to receive optional community updates by text message or e-mail including: severe weather, City of Frederick, Town of Emmitsburg, Town of Thurmont, Thurmont Police Department, Town of Walkersville, Town of Woodsboro, Town of Mt. Airy, Town of Middletown, Town of Myersville, TransIT alerts, and government notices.
