City Seeking Interested Individuals for Personnel Board Position
Frederick, MD - April 24, 2015: The City of Frederick is seeking interested individuals to serve in the alternate position on the Personnel Board. The Personnel Board is responsible for hearing any appeal made by a full-time City of Frederick employee who is suspended, demoted or discharged. The Board may provide advice to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen on issues concerning personnel administration and may perform other duties concerning personnel administration as directed by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.
Applicants must be one of the following: a resident of the City, own property in the City, operate a business in the City, or have a primary place of employment in the City. Applicants may not hold any public elected office and may not hold any other City position. Members serve a term of four (4) years and meet on an “as needed” basis.
