The Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team has charged two men who committed a commercial burglary in December of 2014…
On 12-12-2014, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to a business in the 1800 block of Rosemont Avenue, in Frederick City, in reference to a commercial alarm call.
The initial investigation revealed that two suspects had attempted to force entry into Callahan’s Restaurant located in the 1800 block of Rosemont Avenue through a locked window. Nothing was taken from the business due to the alarm activating. The suspects then fled the area. This case was assigned to Investigator Charles Lawson, of the Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team, for follow-up investigation. With the assistance of the Criminal Investigation Division and subsequent investigation, the suspects were positively identified as Richard Alan Krovich Jr. and Denis Steeven Cruz Canas.
Criminal charges were applied for, and arrest warrants were issued for the two suspects. On 01/23/2015, Investigator Lawson arrested Richard Alan Krovich Jr. and transported him to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner. Denis Steeven Cruz Canas is currently incarcerated on Burglary related charges in Lee County Virginia. The warrant for Denis Steeven Cruz Canas was faxed to that agency as a detainer to be served upon his release.
