Strong arm robbery near the Frederick Co. Library
On Saturday February 11, 2012 at approximately 2211 hours officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the emergency room at FMH for the report of an assault. Upon arrival officers spoke with a victim who advised that he was assaulted and robbed of his cell phone near the library. The victim advised that he was walking in the area when he was approached by a group of 6-8 juvenile black males. The group began to punch and kick the victim, knocking him to the ground. Someone from the group proceeded to take the victim’s cell phone and ran off in an unknown direction. The victim walked to a nearby fire station where he was transported to FMH. A canvass of the area did not locate the suspects. The victim was being treated for minor injuries. No further descriptions of the suspects were available.
