Police officer operating LPR equipped vehicle makes stolen license plate and marijuana arrest
On 06-09-2014 at approximately 1053 hours, Off. R. Lawson of the Frederick Police Department was operating a marked FPD Police Cruiser equipped with License Plate Reading technology (LPR). The LPR alerted Off. Lawson to stolen license plates on a nearby vehicle and he initiated a traffic stop on this vehicle. The tags were verified as stolen and in addition the operator of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana. The below listed arrestee was arrested and transported to Frederick County Central Booking where he was charged as stated below and taken before the District Court Commissioner for a hearing.
