The Frederick Police Department’s Patrol Division has made an arrest of a man driving under the influence of alcohol after striking a vehicle and house foundation…
On 05-17-2014, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the area of East Church Street and Schifferstadt Boulevard for a reported vehicle accident. Through the investigation, it was learned the suspect vehicle collided with another motor vehicle at the above intersection. After the accident, the suspect vehicle left the scene and continued to drive eastbound, onto Monocracy Boulevard, where the vehicle left the roadway, travelled over an embankment, and struck the foundation of a house.
Officers made contact with the driver, identifying him as, Antwon James Lenderman. Officers immediately detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Lenderman’s breath or person and Lenderman showed obvious signs of impairment. Based on the arresting officer’s observations, and after several field tests were conducted, it was determined Lenderman was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Based on the above information, Lenderman was arrested and later transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
It should be noted there were no injuries as a result of the traffic accident or when Lenderman’s vehicle struck the house foundation.
