Maryland Insurance Administration Consumer Outreach Opportunity Scheduled at City Hall

Frederick, MD -- Do you have questions about insurance coverage? Are you interested in consumer education materials – including comprehensive consumer guides to automobile insurance and information on Medicare? Do you want to know how to file a complaint against an insurance company? The City of Frederick has scheduled a Maryland Insurance Administration consumer outreach opportunity for citizens on Wednesday, November 2nd in the lobby of City Hall located at 101 North Court Street in Frederick, Maryland. This free event is open to the public.
Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA) staff will be on hand from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM to answer any questions or concerns about insurance, to provide more information about insurance issues and/or to assist with getting help with insurance problems. Citizens do not need an appointment and can stop by City Hall at their convenience.
The Maryland Insurance Administration is an independent state agency that regulates Maryland’s $27 billion insurance industry and makes certain that insurance companies, health plans, and producers (agents and brokers) comply with Maryland Insurance law. The MIA was founded as the Maryland Insurance Division in 1872 and is an independent State agency.
