On Saturday 01/25/2014 officers with the Frederick Police Department responded to the 100 block of Rhode Island Court for a reported armed robbery which had just occurred. Responding officers determined that a cab driver had been robbed by two suspects after giving the suspects a ride to the Rhode Island Court area.

Detective McPeak with the Frederick Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division was assigned as the lead investigator in this case. Det. McPeak was able to identify one of the suspects in this case as Ronald Kent Hall, DOB 12/11/1988. Det. McPeak determined that Hall and another suspect had solicited the cab driver for a ride to Rhode Island Court. Once at the Rhode Island Court location the two suspects robbed the cab driver prior to fleeing from the scene.

Det. McPeak applied for a statement of charges against Hall for his involvement in the robbery. The District Court Commissioner issued an arrest warrant for Hall charging Hall with the below criminal offenses.

On 03/04/2014 Hall was arrested in the 100 block of W Patrick Street on the outstanding arrest warrant in this case. Hall was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where h is awaiting an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

The second suspect in this case is still outstanding at this time. Det. McPeak is continuing to investigate this case and follow-up on leads and tips as they are received.
