The Frederick Police Department is pleased to announce the upcoming 55th Frederick Police Academy
The 55th student officer class of the Frederick Police Department is set to commence on November 18, 2013. The 7 month course of study and practical application will be conducted at the Frederick Police Department's Charles V. Main Training Center.
The students will receive intensive training in a variety of areas throughout the Academy. Some of the areas of instruction will include Police Ethics, Cultural Diversity, Laws of Arrest, Search and Seizure, Report Writing, Firearms Training, Emergency Vehicle Operations, Collision Investigation and various topics within the field of Mental Illness.
Graduation is set for June 20, 2014.
The attendees will include 9 Student Officers for the Frederick Police Department, 5 Student Deputies from the Frederick County Sheriffs Office and 2 Student Officers from Laurel Police Department.
