[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian traffic accident

The Frederick Police Department is investigating a traffic accident involving a pedestrian

At 11:11 pm, officers responded to the parking lot of 1065 W. Patrick St. for a reported traffic accident involving a pedestrian. Initial investigation revealed that the victim, a 24 year-old Ijamsville man, was apparently laying in a travel lane in the parking lot when he was run over by a pick-up. The victim sustained severe injuries as a result of the incident and was flown to Shock-Trauma in Baltimore, MD by Trooper 3 where he remains in critical condition. No charges against the driver of the vehicle are anticipated at this time.
