[ARCHIVED] Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges for Two

In the evening of 8-28-13, members of the Frederick Police Department's Drug Enforcement Unit were patrolling the Heather Ridge Drive area and observed a driver commit a traffic violation. Upon making a traffic stop, a K9 alerted to the odor of a narcotic coming from the vehicle. Subsequent searching revealed several items of controlled dangerous substances.

The driver, Anpeja Alden Scott (6/6/90), of the 700 block of Heather Ridge Drive, was charged with possession of methadone, ambien, and oxycodone without prescriptions and was taken to Central Booking for further processing.

The passenger, Andrew James Bailey (10/15/89), of the 4900 block of Rosehill Drive in Jefferson, was cited for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams and possession of paraphernalia and released from FPD HQ.
