[ARCHIVED] The City of Frederick Government Offices Closed on Labor Day - Trash/Yard Waste/Recycling Schedules

The City of Frederick Government Offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2013 for the Labor Day holiday. Offices will reopen at their regularly scheduled times on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
Clarification to the schedule is as follows:

The City of Frederick Government Offices Closed on Labor Day
Trash/Yard Waste/Recycling Schedules Change

Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick Government Offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2013 for the Labor Day holiday. Offices will reopen at their regularly scheduled times on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
Clarification to the schedule is as follows:
• William Talley Recreation Center will be closed on Sunday, September 1st and Monday, September 2nd.
• The Food Bank and Frederick Community Action Agency (FCAA) will be closed on Monday, September 2nd.
• The Soup Kitchen will be serving a free meal from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 2nd.
• Parking meters and parking decks are free on Monday, September 2nd.

Trash Collection – The City of Frederick will not provide trash collection services on Monday, September 2, 2013. This applies to customers that normally set out trash on Sunday, evening for Monday morning collection. Please do not set your trash out on Sunday, September 1, 2013. Customers are requested to hold their trash until the next regularly scheduled trash collection day which will be September 5, 2013.
Downtown Commercial District – Trash collection in the Downtown Commercial District will be collected as usual.
Yard Waste Collection – This addresses curbside yard waste collection for residents that normally set their yard waste out on the first Monday of each month. Do not set yard out on Sunday, September 1, 2013 for the Monday, September 2, 2013 pickup. Please hold your yard waste until the next regularly scheduled collection day which will be Monday, September 16, 2013.
Recycling Collection – Curbside recycling will shift a day later than usual during the week of the Labor Day holiday, sliding from the normal Friday collection to Saturday, September 9, 2013.
