On 07-03-13, at approximately 2220 hours, an officer with the Frederick Police Department witnessed a Robbery attempt and made two arrests as a result of his investigation.
On 07-03-13, at approximately 2220 hours, OFC Wade Milyard was in the area Moncacy Blvd and Hughes Ford Rd. At this time, OFC Milyard was parked and observed a confrontation between three individuals. As he responded to contact the three involved, two were fleeing from the third, who was left lying on the ground.. OFC Milyard's investigation revealed that the two fleeing individuals, Mark Anthony Jacobs and a 17 year old juvenile, had exited from a vehicle in the area and assaulted the unidentified victim. While assaulting him, there was an attempt to steal property from his pockets. Mr. Jacobs and the 17 year old juvenile were arrested and subsequently charged. Mr. Jacobs was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center, and the 17 year old juvenile was placed with the Department of Juvenile Justice. The victim in this incident was not injured as a result of the attempted robbery.
