On 06/20/2013 at approximately 7:00pm OFC. Reed Preece of the Frederick Police Department arrested a subject wanted for first degree assault.
On 06/20/2013 at approximately 7:00pm OFC. Reed Preece of the Frederick Police Department was on routine patrol in the area of the 300 Blk of North Market Street. During that time, he observed a subject walking in the area he immediately recognized as Andrew Alexander Miller. Further, OFC. Preece knew Miller was currently wanted by the Frederick Police Department for first degree assault.
As a result, OFC. Preece attempted to stop Miller who fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, Miller was apprehended in the 1st Blk of West Third Street. Once in custody, it was discovered that Miller had cut through a residential backyard and caused property damage to a wooden fence. Miller was then transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where he awaiting an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
